What counts as an included minute?
An included minute is the duration of an inbound call handled by Hellodesk. If a customer calls and talks for 3 minutes, that uses 3 minutes from your plan.
What happens if I go over my included minutes?
You'll be charged a per-minute overage rate (shown on each plan). We'll let you know when you're approaching your limit so there are no surprises.
What does the setup fee cover?
We configure your greeting, call flow, FAQ answers, escalation rules, and notification preferences. One-time NZ$299 – NZ$499 depending on how custom your setup is.
What are concurrent calls?
Concurrent calls are how many separate callers Hellodesk can talk to at the same time. If your plan includes 3 concurrent calls and a fourth caller arrives, that call can be routed to overflow or voicemail. Pick the plan that matches your busiest hour.
Do I get a phone number?
Yes — every plan includes one NZ local number. You can also forward your existing number to Hellodesk. Need more numbers (e.g. for separate locations)? Add extras for NZ$10 / month each.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. You can forward your existing number to Hellodesk, or we can set up a new local NZ number for you.
Does Hellodesk make outbound calls?
No. Hellodesk is inbound only — it answers calls from your customers. We do not make outbound sales or spam calls.
How does urgent escalation work?
You define what counts as urgent (e.g. flooding, gas leak, lock-out). When Hellodesk detects urgency, it immediately calls your on-call mobile to connect you with the customer.
Is my customer data safe?
Yes. Hellodesk complies with the NZ Privacy Act 2020. Callers are informed they're speaking with an AI assistant, transcripts are stored securely, and you can export or delete data at any time.
